Join us in person at the Open Mic for Anacostia to dive into the challenges of low median incomes affecting Wards 8 and 7-- largely cut off from the rest of the city via the Anacostia River.

Median household incomes in Washington, D.C. vary significantly by ward, with data showing Ward 3 consistently boasts the highest median income, often exceeding$ 150, 000, while Wards 7 and 8 report the lowest, often below $ 40 ,000, reflecting deep income disparities across the district.
